Base salary is adjusted by experience level multiplier and location cost of living. The band spans ±15% around the midpoint to allow for performance differentiation.

Equity Compensation

Equity value is calculated as a percentage of base salary. RSUs typically offer ~12%, ISOs ~10%, NSOs ~8%, and profit sharing ~5% of annual base salary.

Cost of Living

Location multipliers adjust for regional cost of living differences. San Francisco (1.8x) and New York (1.7x) command premiums, while other markets scale proportionally.

Employer Costs
